Sharing Jesus using illusion ....and a unicycle!

TACO, our Creative Arts ministry has just finished a superb tour in Turkey with a world champion unicyclist, an illusionist and a dancer. They were an unstoppable combination. Crowds were wowed by the shows, performed in conjunction with local churches in Izmit, near Istanbul, and in several cities in the south-east.

The police showed up… and helped with crowd control! Dustin shared his testimony and the Gospel from his 6ft unicycle. Craig shared from his bag of tricks and gave his direct Gospel ‘magic ball’ message as the team handed out cards with a Gospel message to the gathered crowd.

In Izmit, the team partnered with a street outreach and used the illusionist as the key drawing card. Afterwards, the local church leader was very enthusiastic: “…From the afternoon outreach, 25 people came to see the Jesus Film in the evening. Of these, 19 stayed to discuss more and 3-4 are very, very interested."

Dustin, the champion unicyclist appeared on national television. The ‘Mavi Seker’ (Blue Candy) Show is a popular daytime programme. He performed and then, at their request, he jumped over two people at once - a first for him and on Turkish national TV. During the programme he was able to share briefly that God is the only one who can fill the emptiness in our lives.

Pray for follow-up for the many that were impacted by this tour. Bible Correspondence courses were requested and these have been sent out. Praise God for the many seeds of truth that were planted.
